{"id":60,"date":"2008-01-14T17:56:55","date_gmt":"2008-01-15T00:56:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cleverdialectic.com\/?p=60"},"modified":"2008-01-16T16:58:01","modified_gmt":"2008-01-16T23:58:01","slug":"it-will-not-be-long","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cleverdialectic.com\/?p=60","title":{"rendered":"It Will Not Be Long"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>As She Moved Through the Fair<\/strong><br \/>\nMy love said to me,<br \/>\nMy Mother won&#8217;t mind<br \/>\nAnd me Father won&#8217;t slight you<br \/>\nFor your lack of kind.<br \/>\nThen she stepped away from me<br \/>\nAnd this she did say:<br \/>\nIt will not be long, love,<br \/>\nTill our wedding day.<\/p>\n<p>She stepped away from me<br \/>\nAnd she moved through the fair<br \/>\nAnd fondly I watched her<br \/>\nMove here and move there.<br \/>\nAnd she went her way homeward<br \/>\nWith one star awake,<br \/>\nAs the swans in the evening<br \/>\nMove over the lake.<\/p>\n<p>The people were saying,<br \/>\nNo two e&#8217;er were wed<br \/>\nBut one has a sorrow<br \/>\nThat never was said.<br \/>\nAnd she smiled as she passed me<br \/>\nWith her goods and her gear<br \/>\nAnd that was the last<br \/>\nThat I saw of my dear.<\/p>\n<p>I dreamed it last night<br \/>\nThat my true love came in;<br \/>\nSo softly she entered<br \/>\nHer feet made no din.<br \/>\nShe came close beside me<br \/>\nAnd this she did say:<br \/>\nIt will not be long, love,<br \/>\nTill our wedding day.<\/p>\n<p><em>Unlike all other poems posted thus far, this is not my own.
